Ty and I took it on the chin in a recent golf round. We relive it and council each other through our golf abyss. We then turn our attention to the US Open at Torrey Pines where we do a deep dive on the favorites and the betting odds that go with them. We decide who has no chance and then make our picks to win.

Tuesday Jun 08, 2021

It's freaking hot in MInnesota. This week, We watched more women's golf then men's golf  which was good for our souls. We bask in the beauty that was Olympic Club and the swing of Yuka Saso as well as lament Lexi Thompson's collapse. We then dive into the Jon Rahm Covid Kerfuffle as well our feelings on the Brooks/Bryson soap opera. I then needed some couch time to talk with TY about my horrific iron play and what needs to be done. Plus our picks for Congaree. Enjoy.

Wednesday Jun 02, 2021

I'm flying solo so I kept in short. I talked about my disappointment in the final round last week with Jordan Spieth. It made me think of just how great Tiger was and is and how maybe we are too quick to throw the word great around with our current crop. I then talk U.S. Women's Open. I'm super in on that this weekend and gave my picks for The Memorial. Forgive me in advance for veering off course on purpose at the end to say a few words about my crop of Seniors who I have really grown to admire over the last few months.

Sunday May 30, 2021

Zach joins to talk a smattering of topics from Mick Foley to Women's Softball to Naomi Osaka to Tony La Russa and every where in between. We try to hit on all the major news of the last week or so. We even had some time to work in some baseball card talk and family vacations. It's all on the table so send in your topics for future pods.

Wednesday May 26, 2021

Ty and I cram a lot into 50 minutes. We talk unruly crowds at the PGA, Brooks is clearly bothered by the Mad Scientist which creates a conundrum for the Ryder Cup. We also break down this week's stop at Colonial.

PGA Championship Post Game

Sunday May 23, 2021

Sunday May 23, 2021

Phil wins the PGA. A monumental victory made me put up the bat signal for Ty. We have major reactions and overreactions to what we just saw. We talk Phil, Brooks, Jordan, Rory and all the guys we are concerned about going forward. We also talk about the golf course and we strike another blow in our revolution against alternative putting grips.

Peak Cinema: Face/Off

Thursday May 13, 2021

Thursday May 13, 2021

We lost our damn minds with this one. We go back to the bananas action blockbuster Face/Off starring Nic Cage and John Travolta. Ryan couldn't get passed the various criminal acts committed by the so called good guys and Lauren and I couldn't believe how much we enjoyed this. 24 years later, it's totally ridiculous and totally watchable.

Monday May 10, 2021

Rory McIlroy has risen to the top of the game again with his big win at Quail Hollow. This prompted Ty and I to have look at his career up until now and where we see him this year and beyond. We also examine what is next for Phil after a pretty disappointing weekend. Then we turn our sites to the AT&T Byron Nelson at a brand new venue. Spieth is winning, That's obvious but we will still let them play it. Join Ty and I for more golf talk.

The Podcast

This podcast is a labor of love where I like to sit down and talk with people I know and get their thoughts and ideas on a wide array of topics. It's mostly sports because sports are still fun for me but I'll venture around as the mood strikes me. As I get older, this pod has become a way for me to stay in touch with friends and connect with people at a time where we couldn't be more disconnected.
